Easy Application Techniques

Polished Nail Systems is a revolutionary new concept in sculptured nails.

Polished Nail Systems' acrylic powder can be used just like any other acrylic system. It can be applied as a full sculpt, tip overlay, or natural nail overaly. The following are six easy steps to nails that won't chip, peel, smudge, or wear.

What's different? Polished Nail Systems uses a technique called directional spreading versus traditional self-leveling techniques. What this means is that Polished Nail Systems will not run or make a mess. This is how Polished Nail system's acrylic should look when the ball of product is placed on the nail.
Using the belly of the brush, press the liquid from the brush to move the product. Directional spreading allows control of the product. You are dependent on your brush to hold the liquid until it is needed so use a good brush! Clean your brush with nail monomer only. Brush cleaner and acetone will dry out the brush and it will not hold the liquid properly.
Polished Nail Systems uses more liquid than traditional systems (3 parts liquid to 1 part powder). Consistency is perfect when the product looks like slick wet nail polish. Remember, you won't be polishing, so take your time with the application.
Perfecting the cuticle area is easy with Polished Nail Systems. Set your ball 1/8" to 1/4" away from the cuticle area. Using the liquid in your brush to move the product, press and tuck around the cuticle. Be careful not to get the product on the cuticle.
The nail is ready to file when it looks chalky. Using a 180 grit file (or higher) gently smooth and shape the nail. You will not need to use much pressure as Polished Nail Systems, though extremely durable, is a softer product. Using a white block buffer, buff the nail until it feels smooth and soft.
Apply 1 or 2 coats of Strata Quick Slicker for a beautiful high gloss shine or use Strata's floral 3-way buffer and buff to a high-gloss shine. Get ready to enjoy beautiful color that won't smudge, chip, peel or wear off. It's nail color without the hassle. Another great product by Strata, of course!
